SZECHUAN PRAWNS


INGREDIENTS

Prawns - 1 lb
Dried chilies - 4 nos
Garlic - 6-8
Celery chopped - 3 Tbsp
Onions chopped - 2 nos
Dried chilly paste - 1 teaspoon
Chinese rice vinegar /vinegar - 1 Tbsp
Soya sauce - 2 Tbsp
Tomato sauce -2 Tbsp
Chilly sauce - 1 Tbsp
Sugar - 1 teaspoon

PREPARATION

Mix prawns and sugar before starting the preparation.
Add oil into a skillet splutter dried chillies and add garlic,when turned light golden color add onions and celery.
Cook them until the raw smell goes.Transfer the prawns along with sugar coated on it.
Then add dries chilly paste, chinese rice vinegar, soya sauce,tomato sauce,chilly sauce one by one.
Mix it well and cook the prawns well by closing with a lid for 5-8 mins in medium flame.Serve it hot with fried rice or bread.


Tips:

You can prepare dried chilly paste by soaking dried chillies in warm water for 10 mins and grinding them into a fine paste.
Always remember to remove the black vein from the prawns.
