BBQ CHICKEN PIZZA
INGREDIENTS
4 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon instant yeast
1/4 cup olive oil
1 3/4 cups warm water
METHOD
Mix Yeast,sugar and salt in warm water.Also add 3 Tablespoon of all purpose flour.
Keep this mixture for 10 mins.
Place the rest flour in a mixing bowl and add olive oil.Then add the above mixture and knead
into a soft dough.
Using a wet cloth cover the bowl and keep aside the dough for 1 hour.
After 1 hour, just knead the dough again and keep for another hour.
Place the dough balls on top of the floured counter and sprinkle them with flour; dust your hands with flour. Dust a 12 inch pizza pan or a 10 x 15 inch rimmed baking pan. Gently press the dough into the pan.
Now the base is ready...lets see what we need to make BBQ chicken pizza.
PIZZA SAUCE :
Tomato sauce : 1 cup
Garlic : 5
Bell peppers : 2 Tablespoon
Salt
Olive oil
Fennel powder :1/2 tsp
Oregano : 1/2 tsp
Dried Basil :1/2 tsp
METHOD :
Heat the oil in a pan, add chopped garlic,bell peppers and saute.
Now add tomato sauce and close with a lid and let it cook for 5 mins.
Add fennel powder,oregano and basil.
Add salt to taste.
BBQ Chicken toppings
Chicken Breast - 1/2 pound
Cheese - Mozzarella/ cheddar
BBQ sauce
Spinach
Onions sliced
Bell peppers
Bell peppers
Pizza Sauce
METHOD:
Marinate chicken with BBQ sauce and dry fry it in a pan.Slice them to small cubes.
Place the base on a pizza stone.
Then Lightly top it with sauce and then with toppings. A few, usually no more than 3 or 4 toppings, including sauce and cheese is sufficient.
Bake the pizza for 20 mins at 450 F.
Remove the pizza from the oven and transfer to a cutting board. Wait 3 to 5 minutes before slicing and serving, to allow the cheese to set slightly.
