KAIPOLA / LENTIL STEAMED CAKE MALABAR SPECIAL
Ingredients
1.Dal / Parippu - 1 cup cooked
2.Egg - 3 no
3.Cashew nuts - 2 tsp
4.Raisins- 2 tsp
5.Ghee as needed to saute
6.Sugar -1/4 cup
7.Cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp
Method
1.In a non stick pan heat some ghee and saute the cashew nuts and raisins until it become golden in color.
2.Blend in a mixer - cooked dal,egg,sugar and cardamom powder.
3.In the nonstick pan pour the mixer,spread the cashews and raisins on top and cover it with a lid and cook it about half hour in slow flame.
4.You can check whether it is cooked well by inserting a tooth pick in the middle.
5.Now the delicious kaipola is ready to be served.....
