KATHRINAS SPECIAL THORAN





I guess you may wonder whats so special in a thoran...Every home have different recipes for thoran,..its something that every mother makes atleast twice a week for her kids to school..So everytime when i think about thoran i get those memories of school time ..opening lunch boxes sharing food,tasting my friend's dishes etc..So i just want to share how my mom made thoran,which is how i also make..because they are so wonderful...Here im posting beans thoran..Its d same recipe i follow for carrot,cabbage,snake gourd,long pea and anything n everything that make a thoran.

INGREDIENTS

Beans   - 1lb
Scraped coconut  - 1 cup
Green chilies sliced    - 4/5
Chopped Onions    -1 cup
Curry leaves
Turmeric powder  - 1/4 tsp
Freshly crushed pepper - 1/2 tsp
Salt

PREPARATION

Mix all the ingredients in a plate and crush it well with your hands.
Place them in a pan and cook it medium low heat for 10 mins.
Sprinkle some water in between so that they don't burn and sticky.


Optional
You can add some coconut oil after the thoran is cooked and hot..But i've never used it..
