VAZHAKKA MULAKU THORAN
INGREDIENTS
Vazhakka/Raw Plantain - 2
Mustard -1 tsp
Red chilles crushed - 2 Tbs
Ginger sliced - 2 tsp
Onions Sliced - 1 cup
Coconut scraped -1/2 cup
Green Chilles - 2
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Tamarind water - 4 Tbs
Salt

METHOD
Place raw plantain in a pressure cooker with some water and cook it till one whistle.
Peel the skin of the cooked raw plantain and grate it
Grind coconut and green chilies without water.
Heat the oil in the pan, add mustard seeds and when the mustard seeds begins to sputter add crushed red chillies,chopped ginger, curry leaves,onions and fry till the golden brown color.
Now add grated coco-chilie mix and combine well with onions..
Add the grated plantain and pepper powder and enough salt to taste..
Pour the tamarind water,cover the lid and let it be in sim for 2 mins.
Serve hot with rice.
